In this presentation, participants will get familiar with key concepts in the area of assessment & evaluation and with assessment practices other than testing.

This presentation is divided into two parts:

(1) Theory: identifying assessment principles intrinsically related to views of learning and language, as well as teaching and learning aims

(2) Practice: implementing assessment tools and tasks to monitor and/or check learning


Marilisa Shimazumi

Marilisa Shimazumi holds an MA (University of Liverpool, UK) and a Doctorate (São Paulo Catholic University-PUCSP) in Applied Linguistics. She teaches at Faculdade Cultura Inglesa and her research interests are teacher education, discourse analysis and corpus linguistics.
